Fuel Charge.

Overview

Diesel prices represent a highly significant element of our overall cost base

While we seek to offset these cost increases through improved efficiencies, they are such that they must be passed to our Customers as a fuel surcharge.

In establishing this fuel surcharge, we seek to be:

  • Comparable with our competitors and market practise
  • Clear and consistent: surcharges are based on average prices published by the Department of Energy & Climate Change (DECC)

Fair and honest: surcharges go up and down in line with published prices

The policy for RUSH Courier Ltd

All Customer contracts will include a base surcharge price for diesel, which is 7% at 108ppl (pence per litre).

As each Customer’s invoice is raised the ruling price for diesel published by the DECC will be compared to each Customer’s base price:

For every 1p (or part thereof) upwards movement in published pence per litre diesel prices, RUSH apply a 0.25% fuel surcharge to each invoice

At every annual price review, existing fuel surcharges/rebates will be rolled into the delivery tariff and the base price for diesel will be reset to the ruling market price at the time.

Custom Costs

RUSH has provided international pricing. However, additional charges (which are out of RUSH Couriers control) may apply for customs clearance procedures including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Clearance procedures involving a government agency other than customs
  • Transit procedure
  • Storage
  • Customs inspection
  • Border inspection post charges
  • Shipments cleared by a third party

In these instances RUSH Couriers will require reimbursement from Company XXX

Waiting time costs.

Please always remember, to have your goods/parcels/letters etc. ready and packed to avoid the industry standard of the ‘Waiting Loading Charge’. We will not make a charge if we are waiting for less than 10 minutes. After 10 minutes the whole period becomes chargeable at £20 PER HOUR PRO RATA. – We aim to save YOU money by making you aware this.

£20 per hour for Bike, Motorbike & small van

£39 per hour for Transit van

£40 per hour for Luton Van

RUSH Network Service – Cheaper priced service.

RUSH Couriers offer a service which is a collection & delivery of documents by push bike, within 90 minutes, from the time of booking. This is for the area of central London only (EC1-4) only.

Live Chat.

At RUSH we have started to roll out dedicated ‘Live Chat Channels’ to our customers. This givesthe benefit of a joint ‘customer type service’, in other words, not every company has a customer service department, and this is a quick and easy way to instantly give good customer satisfaction and speed up communications.

In todays enabled world, we believe in using all forms of communication to leverage our customer service resource.

Using our dedicated ‘Live Chat Channels’ for the Company XXX will benefit a ‘joined-up’ and coherent customer service.Reducing the need for long telephone calls,faster response times to queries. The Live Chat Channels are fully recordable & accountable.

Saturday & Sunday deliveries.

We do offer a delivery same day service on the weekend & weekend evenings. We need to have advanced notice and additional charge may apply. If you have regular medium to large delivery needs we are happy to discuss large discounts for the weekend service.
