Graycliff Conservancy Elects New Directors

(Buffalo, N.Y.) –The Graycliff Conservancy, Inc. has elected five new members to its Board of Directors. The new Directors were selected by the Graycliff Nominating Committee and recommended to the organization based on areas of expertise required by Graycliff’s Strategic Plan, and ratified at the Graycliff Annual meeting.

The new Directors are:

Darice L. Hickey, Esq., is an associate at Magavern Magavern Grimm LLP, practicing in the areas of trusts and estates law, tax law, and elder law. Prior to joining that firm, she worked in the trust department at J.P. Morgan in New York City. In addition to her Board service for Graycliff, Hickey is a member of the Board for Vive, Inc., an organization that assists refugees seeking protection in Canada and the United States. Additionally, Mrs. Hickey is the President of the U.Va. Club of Western New York. Mrs. Hickey is a graduate of the University of Virginia, where she received a BA. She received her juris doctor from the State University of New York at Buffalo, cum laude, with a concentration in finance transactions. Mrs. Hickey then attended the New York University School of Law where she attained a masters of law in taxation.

Patrick Mahoney, A.I.A., is an associate at Lauer-Manguso Architects. The author of Frank Lloyd Wright's Walter V. Davidson Houseas well as other articles on Wright, in 1988, Mahoney coordinated the Historic American Building Survey (HABS) of the Darwin D. Martin house. Mahoney is the project architect for the Buffalo Transportation Museum, which houses an exhibit dedicated to the 1928 Wright designed Filling Station unique to Buffalo. Mahoney was awarded the AlA Buffalo/ WNY's Community Service Award in 2006, serves as the Architectural Representative of Building & Construction Committee for the Roycroft Campus Corporation, and is a member of East Aurora's Historic Preservation Commission.He is returning to the Graycliff Board for a new term. Mahoney received both a BA and Masters Degree of Architecture from the University of Buffalo.

Jeffrey Manhardt has over 16 years of work experience in network engineering, system implementation and project & program management. He has managed dozens of projects & programs for M&T Bank, and is a bank acquisition specialist. Manhardt has also served as Adjunct professor at Canisius College. A professional project manager, he received his PMP® certification in 2005 and has served on the PMI Buffalo chapter Board since 2007, currently as as VP of Technology & Business Services. He is thefounding President of the Buffalo Chapter of the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and was elected to the 2012 BA/PMWorld Toronto Board of Advisors. Manhardt holds a BS degree in Business Management from D'Youville College and is the principal owner of the Dramjam Consulting organization.

MikeMcGuigan has been in the construction industry for 25 years, the last 8 years as a project manager with Ellicott Development Company.There, McGuigan managed the construction of several of Ellicott’s larger projects including the Pasquale Waterfront Condominiums, the United Office Building Renovation, the Baker Shoe Building Renovation, two new hotels, and the recently completed Buffalo Medical Group offices in Orchard Park. Previously, he was employed in similar capacities by The Pike Company and Ciminelli-Cowper Construction. McGuigan earned a BS in civil engineering from the University at Buffalo.

Deborah Lynn Williams

Lynn Williams brings with her to the Graycliff Board a wealth of experience in governmental affairs as well as in the non-profit sector. The former Western New York Regional Director for Senator Charles Schumer, Williams also served as District office liaison for then-Assemblyman Sam Hoyt. She recently stepped down as the CEO of the YWCA of Western New York, and serves as a Trustee of the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy and the Literacy Volunteers of America. She is a member of the Board of Directors of the Clement & Karen Arrison Foundation, as well as the Buffalo Olmsted Parks Conservancy. Williams received a BS in biochemistry from the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia, PA, and a MS from the University of Buffalo/Roswell Park in Molecular Biology.

Mary Young is a manager in the audit department of Lumsden & McCormick, LLP, a CPA firm with an office in Buffalo, NY. Young has experience working with governmental entities includingschool districts, industrial development agencies andmunicipalities in the areas of auditing, single audits, taxation,information returns and financial reporting. She is a member of theAmerican Institute of Certified Public Accountants, New York State Society of Certified Public

Accountants (NYSSCPA), the NYSSCPA Public Schools Accounting Committee, the Association of

School Business Officials, the Western Chapter of the Government Finance Officers' Association, and is active in the New York State Association of Counties. Young graduated from

University at Buffalo in 1990 with a B.A. in PoliticalScience and in 2005 with a B.S. in Business Administration. The former treasurer and current VicePresident of Working For Downtown, she is also a member of the University at Buffalo’s Center for the Arts Advisory Council.

About the Graycliff Conservancy: The non-profit Graycliff Conservancy was founded in 1997 specifically to acquire, preserve, and restore the Graycliff Estate, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
