Still, there is no connection. Today has a number. You have a number. They are different numbers.
Pretend that your birthday number is 11. That means your birthday is 11 Jan.
And today has a number, too. Is the 131.
So we can find how far apart the two numbers are. 131 - 11 = 120. So today would be 120 days after your birthday.
Or pretend that my birthday number is 114.
If we subtract 114 -11 that would mean our birthdays are 103 days apart.
