New Starter Process for IT

Once an offer has been accepted by an applicant then an IT New User Request must be completed. Without the request form no access or hardware will be arranged.

Completing the request

Next to the name you put the applicant/s full name, and the Start Date is the day first day they are starting with the company – if they are not ‘live’ until a few days/weeks after, then please also put a ‘live date’ in brackets next to the start date.

Next to Department you put the department and area they will be working in (eg. Octagon Outbound). The manager can be the Department manager, and a seat location if known – this is not a necessity (or next to ‘x’ person will suffice).

‘Access Requirements’ is for folder, software (such as Magnetic North, etc.) and CDL access. Tick the boxes next to which access is required, please note that Simply Personnel access will require authorisation from HR, which will need to be included in the request. For CDL Branches type the letters in the box beneath, and tick the smaller box.

If there is already a desk arranged, with a pc/terminal, phone, etc…then next to ‘Hardware Requirements’please write ‘none’. If there is any hardware missing then complete as necessary, or if a full desk set up is required please tick the boxes next to the items required. ‘Any other requirements’ is for any other access which has not been detailed.

The New User Request forms can be downloaded from and completed form should then be sent to , where it will be logged and you will be given a Zen desk number. You will also be given access to the M:\Helpdesk folder, where you will be able to follow the progress of your request in the ‘New User Monitor form.xlsx’ spreadsheet.
