Suggested changes for 2013 show schedule

Northeast Ark – Add:

1. Lead Line – This is to be a stand alone class to be shown separately from those classes in the coliseum & should be held during a speed class. Any child riding in this class is not allowed to ride any other class. Qualification is not required and is open to any child under the age of 18. Special needs children may have assistance in the arena. Any expense is covered by a sponsor that has already been secured. No points awarded.

2. Pony Flags – A stand alone class to be run the class before Jr. Flags. Associations will not pay for positions not filled. Pony Flag entry fee can be counted towards the Jr. Flag required $15 entry fee if an association has open slots in their Jr. Flag class. Any expense is covered by a sponsor that has already been secured. No points awarded.

- Combine Men’s and Ladies’ gaited to one class

- Split slow gaited into a light shod & heavy shodgaited class.

- Swap Pony poles (8th on Sat) & Sr. poles (10th on Sun) so that Sr. barrels & poles don’t run on the same day.

ArkansasValley– Add:

Ranch horse W.P. – use AQHA guidelines for rail work only, no pattern for this class. This is a different style than what would be shown in a regular WP class. Horses should be moving out in stride but remain collected & controlled. No braided manes or fake tails allowed.

The Adult Walk Trot & Non-pro WP classes will need to be voted on if they are to be included with the 2013 show schedule.

The 2013 State show schedule will be voted on at the Jan. 13 state meeting. Any changes such as restrictions to the AWT, will have to be discussed as well as adding any of the above mentioned classes.
