COLD WEATHER DRESSING Now that the weather has cooled down, please send warm clothing for your student to wear at recess time. If they do not have the proper clothing, they will not be allowed to go out for recess with the rest of their class. Students, please remember to either take your items home or pick them up at the end of the day. If they are left on the hallway floor, check the “Lost and Found” box in the school office. That’s where the janitor puts the items she finds!

DECEMBER BIRTHDAYS The following students will celebrate birthdays in the month of December: Annika Morschauser (PK), Katrina Shaw (PK), Ryan Phillipsen (gr. 4) and Brandon Babino (gr. 8). God’s blessings to each of you!

EQUIP FOR QUALITY Attached to this week’s TIGER TALES is an “Equip for Quality” envelope. You may use this to donate to Immanuel if you would like. If you would like a record for tax purposes, please include your name.

HOT LUNCH In order for our cook to know how much food to purchase and prepare, we need to let her know how many people will be taking lunch each week. Attached to this TIGER TALES each week is a sheet with the menu listed. Please mark what days you will be taking hot lunch. They need to be turned in to the office no later than FRIDAY MORNING. If students do not turn in slips, they will not receive hot lunch. Our cook wants to make sure she has enough food to feed everyone!! In the past couple of weeks, we have had several students take hot lunch that have not returned slips. Please return your slips so that we do not run out of food! THANK YOU!

1.) Sending medicine to school: Prescribed medicine will be dispensed by the classroom teacher according to the prescription and must be accompanied by written permission from a parent. It must be kept in the prescription container. State law requires this policy. Students should not carry medicine. Children who bring non-prescription medicine must give it to the teacher along with a note from the parents indicating their wishes. Under no circumstances should children take any medicine without the teacher’s supervision. 2.) Save for school: We are again participating in the Campbell’s “Labels for Education” program which allows us to ‘bank’ labels and then cash them in on items for school. The company no longer wants the front labels, they are now asking for the UPC symbols found on the labels. We are also participating in the “Box Tops for Education” program sponsored by General Mills. The company pays us for box tops that are sent in. You may bring your labels or box tops to the school office and we will gladly take care of them for you. 3.) VEHICLE INSPECTIONS With the beginning of a new school year, it is a good time for a reminder about our driving policy. According to Board of Education policy, (Student Handbook pg. 13) “Drivers who have submitted proof of insurance, driving record, and certification that their auto has been checked by a mechanic may transport students to sports events, field trips or other school events. These records are kept on file in the school office during the current school year. At the end of the school year, all records are destroyed. New forms were included in the folders given to each family at the teachers’ home visits. If you need another form, please stop in the school office.
