· Affiliate Members are national organisations that are working towards establishing national representation for their country or are organisations that represent amateur theatre in an autonomous region as defined by the United Nations

· Affiliate Members have 2 votes at the Biennial World Congress and General Assembly

· Affiliate Members pay an annual membership fee (information enclosed)

· Affiliate Membership is subject to ratification by the General Assembly

National Centre (ratified as an Affiliate Member by the General Assembly in ...... )

· National Centres represent amateur theatre in their countries

· National Centres have 6 votes at the Biennial World Congress and General Assembly. Membership is subject to ratification by the General Assembly

· National Centres pay an annual membership fee (information enclosed)

· Full membership begins after ratification by the General Assembly

· If an organisation claiming to represent amateur theatre in its country wishes to apply for Full Membership of AITA/IATA asbl(and no other organisation is fulfilling that role), they will initially be given Affiliate Member status for two years. During this period an AITA/IATA asbl Regional Representative or Council Member will check the eligibility of the organisation
