Greetings Applicants!

Launching Educational Assistance Programs Forward, Inc. (LEAPForward, Inc.) is a non-profit organization that administers the Evelyn V. Irvine Memorial Scholarship for Community Service.

LEAP Forward, Inc. will award a$1000.00college scholarship to a deserving African American student from the Southern Maryland or Baltimore region. Scholarships will be available for the Fall 2018 semester. To be eligible for consideration, the student must:

Be a third year college student; and

Enrolled in an accredited University/College; and

Member of the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity; and

Displays strong legacy of community service in the footsteps of Sigmas such as A. Phillip Randolph, John Lewis, Rev. Al Sharpton, Stevie Wonder and Bill Clinton; and

Submit a completed application, essayand college transcript (Unofficial copy is acceptable).

Upon notification of the scholarship award, the student must:

Provide proof of college enrollment and/or current attendance

Sign a declaration of future support to LEAP Forward

Provide a photo (with permission for use in solicitation of future scholarship funding)

Must attend the scholarship reception to beheld on July 8, 2018
