Dear Parents and HMSScience Student,
Each spring the District School Board of Pasco County hosts its annual Science Fair.
We are asking students and parents to read carefully below for this year’s options to Hudson Middle School Science Fairparticipation, which will be held December 2, 2016.
Hudson Middle School Science teachers plan hands on, instructional activities with the goal of completing a science project in all basic science classes. Participation in Science Fair is anoptional extension for students enrolled these classes. Students in basic science classes who complete an independent project, outside of class, will be awarded extra credit and are encouraged to participate in the HMS Science Fair. Completed Science Fair projects are due Monday, November 28, 2016.
Students in science classes learn about and use the scientific method to explore a variety of topics in science throughout the year. Taking part in a Science Fair is fun, educational, and rewarding.
We encourage all of our HMS Cougars to participate in Science Fair.
To support our students, we will host our annual Science Information Night on Thursday, September 15, 6:00-7:30pm. Students who have expressed an interest in participation in Science Fair will receive valuable information, including free backboards and labels for their independent Science Fair project during our Science Night activities. We encourage all of our HMS Cougar Families to attend!

This information is vital and will help us to plan for activities and order the supplies necessary to support interested students in their success with Science Fair this year.
