You MUST submit both a cover sheet and a script to be considered for inclusion in the festival.
THE DEADLINE FOR ALL SUBMISSIONS IS November 1.

A completed submission consists of THREE emails:
- two to Region V (cover sheet and play separately)
- one to Gregg Henry at the National Office (cover sheet and play in one email)

The script, in PDF format, must have a TITLE PAGE but no author or school identification. This script should be submitted to . The PDF file must be named as the title of your play. For example:
If your play is titled, This Play is a Real Winner, your file should be This play is a real winner.pdf.
Please eliminateany formatting in the title that won’t allow it to save. Any files titled “my play”, “kcactf” or any other generic name will be returned.
ENSURE that your name and contact information is absent from every page of the PDF script, title page and file name. This is a “blind” submission selection process, so we are making every effort to have the outside readers influenced only by the script—not the name or institutional affiliation.
THE DEADLINE FOR submission at the national level for most of the awards inMICHAEL KANIN PLAYWRITING AWARDS PROGRAM is December 1st. The KEN LUDWIG PLAYWRIGHTING AWARD SCHOLARSHIP submission deadline is Feb. 1st.
For the David Mark Cohen Award: submit the cover sheet and script to the Region V siteonly. Do not submit the David Mark Cohen entries to the National Office—except for full length plays that are part of the Ken Ludwig award entry. THE DEADLINE for submission for the David Mark Cohen award (a regional award) is the November 1.
