L.BYLAWS

L.1.a.Bylaw 12014 – To Close a Portion of 167 Street Road Right-of-Way Abutting Lot 14, Block 36, Plan 8175 ET, Located on the Southeast Corner of 167 Street and Stony Plain Road, Greenwood.

PURPOSE

To close the surplus portion of 167 Street, in order to consolidate with the abutting lot to the east.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 12014.

L.1.b.Bylaw 12086 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from DC5 (Site Specific Development Control) District to DC5 (Site Specific Development Control) District; Located at 10203 – 139 Street, Glenora.

PURPOSE

To delete the current provisions allowing for the conversion of the building to a Portrait Studio, and replace these provisions with those allowing for a conversion to a Professional Office or to a Personal Service Shop (excluding massage parlours).

D. Rosenberg was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 12086.

L.1.c.Bylaw 12087 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District, PU (Public Utility) District and A (Metropolitan Recreation) District to PU (Public Utility) District, RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District and AP (Public Parks) District; Located East and West of Donsdale Drive and South of 53 Avenue, Donsdale.

PURPOSE

To allow the reconfiguration of the storm water retention pond and single detached residential development and accommodate development of a view point park.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 12087.

L.1.d.Bylaw 12088 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from IM (Medium Industrial) District to IB (Industrial Business) District; Located at 7324 Yellowhead Trail, Yellowhead Corridor.

PURPOSE

To allow light industrial and low intensity business uses.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 12088.

L.1.e.Bylaw 12091 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from RF1 (Single Detached Residential) District to CNC (Neighbourhood Convenience Commercial) District; Located North of 134 Avenue and East of 113A Street, Rosslyn.

PURPOSE

To allow neighbourhood convenience commercial uses on the site and will accommodate the expansion of an existing grocery store.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 12091.

Councillors B. Mason and W. Kinsella entered the meeting at 1:36 p.m.

L.1.f.Bylaw 12095 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from RPL (Planned Lot Residential) District, RF5 (Row Housing) District, RA7 (Low Rise Apartment) District and PU (Public Utility) District to RA7 (Low Rise Apartment) District, RF5 (Row Housing) District, RSL (Residential Small Lot) District and PU (Public Utility) District; Located South of Whitemud Drive and West of 100 Street, Glastonbury.

PURPOSE

To accommodate a more efficient plan of subdivision, and provide a better location for the gate station required to provide natural gas to the area.

There were no persons present to speak to the passing of Bylaw 12095.

L.2.a.Bylaw 12078 – To Amend the Land Use Bylaw from IM (Medium Industrial) District and IH (Heavy Industrial) District to CB2 (General Business) District; Located at the Southeast Corner of 104 Street and 78 Avenue, C.P.R. West.

PURPOSE

To allow a variety of commercial, service and retail uses on the site.

K. Mackenzie, Mackenzie Associates, was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 12078.

L.1.g.Bylaw 12089 – To Amend Bylaw 10452, As Amended, Being the Haddow Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan.

PURPOSE

To amend the Haddow Neighbourhood Area Structure Plan involving three land use components. A medium density residential site is enlarged and two additional medium density sites are designated; a stormwater management facility is reconfigured, and the Public Elementary School and Separate Elementary School sites are switched.

J. Pennell, Genstar Developments, was in attendance to answer questions in favour of the passing of Bylaw 12089.

Councillor D. Thiele entered the meeting at 2:04 p.m.
