To visit as a guest to view someone else’s portal:

1.  Go to www.portaportal.com

2.  Type the Guest Name in the Guest Access Box (rozauer) for one of mine. Reskins, rozauer2,

1. Sign up [Keep a record of your portaportal login name and password]

Once your portal is set up à log in.

2. Add categories

Begin by entering up to five categories of your choice. You can divide your portal by class or by subject or strand.

3. Add links to each category

To edit links you've already entered click on the button that looks like this:

If this window is activated it will be available in the tray whenever you are searching the web and you can enter a link into any category or sub-category on your portal without going back to the portal.

4. Set preferences

Tailor the details of your portal to your taste. On the preferences page you can change the colors, layout, greetings and many other decorations. It’s also where you go to turn sharing on or off. Set the guest behavior to “allow guest access”.

5. Share your portal

Once you're ready to share your portal just tell your students the login name.

Create Your Own Account – It’s Free!!!

From the home page, click Signup on the left side of the screen.

Access Preferences – Once you create your account, you need to modify your preferences so that others can use your portal.

It is very simple to use…you create a category for each different type of web site you’ll be including (ie. Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Math). Then you add links of your favorite web sites for each category.

Your students can access your Portaportal from any Internet connected computer by entering your name in the guest box and then simply click on the link you instruct them to go to as an activity.

Use the quick link option as you search for new sites to add to your portal.
