Purpose: To read a novel (fiction) and complete a project to show that you read it

Choose one of the following projects to complete individually:

  1. Character interview – write at least 10 questions and answers as if you were interviewing the main character. Answers should be three sentences each. Be sure to discuss the major plot points and the character’s opinions. Then, write a one-paragraph reaction to the book.
  2. Book in a bag – Choose a container such as an empty coffee can or shoebox. Decorate the outside of your container so it includes major elements or themes from the book AND the title, author’s name, and your name. On the inside, include a one-paragraph summary, five objects that represent the main character and two sentences explaining why you chose them, and a one-paragraph reaction to the book.

Hint: Don’t procrastinate! Turning the project in at least one week early earns 5 points extra credit.
