All contestants must report in person backstage at the AtwoodWaterPark on May 21st at 5:30 p.m.

You must present soundtrack cd (no lead vocals on cd, only karaoke type soundtracks) when you arrive for the contest. Two songs should be prepared, each contestant may be cut to one song according to time limitations. Any song with vulgar or unacceptable language will not be allowed to participate in the Atwood Idol Contest. All songs should relate to the country music genre. Contestants will be judged on vocals, relation to country music genre, and audience participation.

Category first place winners will be introduced at the opening of the Music Festival on Friday. The overall winner will perform in the opening spot in Friday's Atwood Festival lineup (May 22nd), and will receive 2 hours of recording time at Route One Recording, five C.D.'s and the master of the recording session.
