Dear Parents/Grandparents and Friends
Welcome back to our final half term. We are looking forward to an extremely busy time here at Brinscall St John’s. We recently appeared in the Chorley Guardian after our outstanding Ofsted report! If you would like a copy of the article, please ask Mrs Lormor.
TEAM POINTS – last half term’s winners were TIGERS. Any members of this team can come to school in non-uniform this Friday (15 June). Well done!
WELL DONE MRS CLAYTON!
Mrs Clayton has gained her NPQH (National Professional Qualification for Headteachers)
after many months of hard work. Congratulations and well done!
BRINSCALL FESTIVAL – SATURDAY 16 JUNE – procession starts at 12.45 pm
Meet up at St Joseph’s Primary School, Bury Lane, Withnell at 12.30 pm so that we are ready to go at 12.45 pm. Please note that you cannot drive into the car park at the school. We will then walk down Bury Lane, along Railway Road and up School Lane to the Top Club sports field. Parents will need to meet their children as soon as we arrive on the field. If you have not already done so, please let us know if your child will be taking part. Adults are very welcome to dress up and walk too of course and it would be great if we could have a few “Queen Elizabeth II” costumes as our theme is “The Queen and her subjects”. The children can wear the clothes that they wore for our Jubilee party (princesses, princes, knights, jesters, red, white and blue, etc). Miss Cupit will provide a treat for all the children who take part in the procession.
TIGER TOTS – ADVANCE NOTICE!
Please note there will be no Tiger Tots (toddler group) on Monday 2 July or Monday 9 July due to our junior production rehearsals. Sorry for any inconvenience!
WANTED – CLEAN SOCKS!
If you have any odd socks you don’t know what to do with – send them to Mrs Midgley! We will be making puppets for the Methodist Art Family Creative Day which is on 30 June. Further details to follow. The socks can be any shape, size, colour and we will even accept socks with holes in!
AFTER SCHOOL CLUB – EXTENSION OF HOURS
From Monday 18 June, After School Club will be open until 6 pm. There will be no additional cost at this stage. Siquia is also sending out her own newsletter with further details.
