BASIC FUNCTION
Perform a variety of process engineering duties in the plant , includes monitoring performance of plants and facilities , preparing daily performance summery and recommending corrective actions to deal with abnormalities . prepare studies to develop test & implement changes in plant operations .
provide functional assistance to various plan personnel in test checking alterations , diagnosing process and corrosion problems and preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and materials . prepare data for new projects & major revamps . prepare instructions and plans for
defined maintenance activities .
Dealing with ( LPG & LTS plants , Compression Station , Dehydration units , LPG & Condensate
Storage tanks , Gas separation , Condensate Stabilization Units & O.W.T.U. ) .
N.B.: FOR THE CRURENT JOB; PERFORM FOR REACTION SECTION ( PREHEATER , REFORMER & OXYREACTOR ) , RAW GAS COMPRESSION STEAM TURBINE , CO2 REMOVAL , FARCTIONATION , AMMONIA REFREGRATION BWF AND CONDENSATE SYSTEM , CONDENSATE TREATMENT & WASTE WATER SYSTEM PRECOMMISIONG , COMMSIONING AND STARTUP ALL ACTIVITES.
JOB DUTIES:-
· Prepare daily performance summaries to monitor plant performance includes studying laboratory tests reports , standard log sheets and other daily operating activity reports and compiling information for supervisor’s review .
· Highlights abnormalities and advise supervisor on corrective action for discussion.
· Supervising All shift operations including safe start-up and shut-down operations through shift engineers .
· Operating all the plant through DCS & PLC systems .
· Leading and evaluating of shift production crew (technician & operators) to execute operations and safety instructions .
· Preparing a shift report including production rates, maintenance works, evaluation of the production crew, and plant Shut-Downs cases and its reasons, etc..
· Operating rotary machines.
· Storage and loading of LPG and Condensate products.
· Determination of the optimum operating conditions. Making orders to execute the operation instructions to meet the products' specifications.
· Providing directs engineering support to operations and assists with trouble-shooting and process improvement.
· Administering the operations permit to work system.
· collect monthly plant production and operating data , evaluates unit efficiencies by relating chemical and energy consumption to plant throughput
· Identifies possible trends , prepare reports with comments and submits to supervisor for review
· Monitor equipment and systems performances , identifies potential problems and submits recommendations for appropriate actions such as revising operating modes or conditions
· Recommending chemical dosing and specifications , rescheduling of required shutdowns , initiating chemical cleaning , proposing modifications to existing systems and following up to ensure proper execution .
· Studying required alterations of a technical nature in order to meet variations in production plans or a varying feed stock .
· Participating in the identification of possible solution in process problem areas includes analyzing operating reports and discussing problem items with the department concerned .
· Provide functional assistance to analysis the results of special tests from operational units in order to provide further information for analysis and/or to test check effectiveness of alterations
· Involving close monitoring of test runs and close collaboration with the operations sections .
· Providing technical services & assistance to other sections such as instrumentation , maintenance , inspection and materials as required includes investigation problems associated with process , diagnosing corrosion problems .
· Preparing technical specifications of operating chemicals and other materials and carrying out its technical evaluation .
· Providing comments on the drawings and P&I diagrams
· Following up the details engineering of new projects , check design calculations , engineering drawings and specifications .
· Represent division in nominated site activities.
· Regular contacts with various operations personnel at engineer or section head level to offer advise on the resolution of process problems .
· Contacting with engineers of other disciplines ( mechanical , electrical , inspection & instrumentation ) to exchange information .
· Reporting to process Asst. Manger and received work direction from him .
SPECIAL WORK EXPERIENCE
· Depressurizing and purge the whole plant to zero pressure to execute Tie-in jobs.
· Starting-up the whole plant from zero pressure including leakage test.
· Operating the all plant automatically by using DCS MODE 300 (Distributed Control System ) with a MODE 30 control panel as a backup and PLC System ( programmable logic control ) to handle emergency shut down cases .
· Operating the oily water treatment units to avoid environment pollution
· Tie-in Job of new spherical storage tanks with existing ones.
· Replacement of flare tip by new one (associated with complete shut down & start up )
· Tie-in, commissioning & start up the new Depropanizer tower with the existing facilities of LPG plant and executing its performance test .
· Replacing the old indirect fired heater (salt bath heater) by a new direct fired heater.
· Shared in FAT test for Up grading the existing DCS system (ABB) .
· Shared in FAT test for new program for reporting OMS (FIRST) .
· Shared in pre commissioning , commissioning & start up in NOSPCO gas plant
· Shared in FAT & SAT test for DCS system (DeltaV) .
· Shared in Engineering Phase for new projects ( NI project “RWE” , EDISON ) .
· Studies for retrofit the existing process plant ( LPG ) to be NGL or LNG plant as process simulation software ( HYSYS ) cases studies.
