Attention Coaches:

The hockey season is fast approaching and we want to get thing underway as soon as possible. All coaches are responsible for taking the required certifications and clinics needed to coach in their corresponding divisions.

If you have already taken the clinics and certifications, we thank you.

If you need to take courses, there are a few steps you will need to do in order to register for the courses:

1. Understand what courses you need in order to coach.

2. Go to Hockey Alberta website to register for the courses. (Website below)

https://ehockey.hockeycanada.ca/ehockey/ClinicGroupList.aspx?OID=4

3. Register for the corresponding courses.

4. Keep receipt and either email it to or send it by mail to

On the next page you will see what each division requires from coaches. ALSO, ALL coaches and ON-ICE HELPERS need to have RESPECT IN SPORT – COACH. This is also found on the Hockey Alberta website. Please note, some changes have been made as to what certain divisions require. For example, all Atom coaches now need the Checking Clinic.

Any questions please contact Brian Varga at 403-866-4901.

Thank you,
