Students are to:

1. Write the 3th paragraph that will their third college from their thesis statement in their topic sentence.

2. Write several sentences that provide supporting evidence such as concrete details or examples.

3. Write a 1-2 sentences that provide an analysis of the evidence. State the relevance, purpose, or meaning of the supporting details.

4. Be sure to cite your sources with in-text or parenthetical citations.

5 Minutes - Closing

Thesis Restated - A sentence that paraphrases the thesis.

Transition - 1-3 sentences that transition to the clincher.

Clincher - This is to clinch your point, so it should leave a memorable impression.

Examples of types of clinchers are:

1.  Leave the reader with a lasting impression.

2.  Call for action

3.  Make a recommendation

4.  Use a famous quote to leave a lasting impression if you did not open with a quote.

5.  Help the reader see its importance

6.  Help the reader to make a connection or relate to topic.
