FollowingthereleaseoftheGuide,theMDBAisconductingaseriesofregionalmeetingsto informthecommunityandreceivecommentsontheGuideoftheproposedBasinPlan. FeedbackcanbeprovidedtotheMDBAinanumberofways,including:

Submissionformsarebeingdevelopedtocollectformalsubmissionsduringthe 16‐weekconsultationperiod.TheBCCweremadeawarethatsubmissionsreceivedbytheMDBAduringthisperiodwillbepublishedtogetherwitharesponsefromtheMDBA.

TheBCCreceivedapresentationfromProfessorQuentinGraftonandProfessorChrisMiller ontheeconomiceffectsofwaterrecoveryonirrigatedagricultureintheMurray‐Darling Basin.ThepresentationhighlightedthatBasincommunitieshave showntobevery adaptive torecent drought conditions,andthatthiswouldpotentiallyinfluence community resiliencetolong‐termreducedwateravailability.
