INTRODUCTION TO THE MAUDSLEY-BASED (PARENT-ASSISTED) APPROACH TO EATING DISORERS

For parents who want to learn what is available, or need help deciding if this approach is right for their family.

THE HOUGH CENTER PARENT COACHING PROGRAM

This group has been developed to assist parents in effectively supporting their adolescent (high school age and younger) through the eating disorder recovery process utilizing a modified Maudsley approach. Parents simultaneously receive support for themselves.

Orientation + 8 weeks - Call number below to register at least one week before start date.

Offered Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., beginning on the following dates:

Jan. 14 Apr. 1 June 17 Sept. 16

(Adolescents must be engaged in treatment with a physician and therapist at minimum for the duration of this program.)

THE HOUGH CENTER ADOLESCENT SKILLS PROGRAM

A group to empower adolescents of high school and middle school age to take back their lives from eating disorders and develop skills to recover.

8 weeks - Call number below to register at least one week before start date.

Offered Wednesday evenings, 7:00 – 8:30 p.m., concurrent with the Parent Coaching Group, starting one week after parent orientation beginning on the following dates:

Jan. 21 Apr. 15 June 24 Sept. 23

(Adolescents must be engaged in treatment with a physician and therapist at minimum for the duration of this program.)
