Location: / Sainsbury’s Head Office, High Holborn, London with occasional visits to Highland Spring Group Head Office, Stirling Street, Blackford, Auchterarder, Perthshire, PH4 1QA. During the winter months, may be home based for 1 – 2 days per week or at HSG Head Office.
Working Hours: / 3 days per week – days to be agreed with Sainsbury’s, 9am – 5pm (22.5 hours p/w).
Main purpose of job: / The Shared Resource is responsible for improving performance of Suppliers Products through:-
·  Analytical support
·  Customer Insight
·  Developing the relationship with the customer through on-site support
Key Result Areas (KRAs)
1. Communication and Reporting
·  Provide full details of any failures to Customer Supply Chain Co-ordinator (CSCC) using Sainsbury’s systems where appropriate and share ongoing issues/resolutions with Sainsbury’s and HSG teams.
·  Provide full details relating to forecasts, visible orders/load profiles highlighting potential risks to sales/commercial numbers.
·  Support CSCC and NCDM with provision of data as required for quarterly reviews, commercial presentations and supply updates.
·  Complete daily DTP update for communication to all – actions as required
·  Main point of contact for depots – support with rejected pallets, collection notes, general SKU queries and communications relating to NPD, SKU changes etc.
2. Stock Management
·  Monitor depot and store stock levels to agreed levels. Flag any key SKU’s to teams with emphasis on impact to forward forecast.
·  Communicate any WOW changes in depot and store to JS team along with over and under forecasting vs logistics
·  Understand and communicate any impact to depot service
·  Monitor projected credits and liaise with JS team to flag any action required i.e. amend SCION orders
·  Ensure that seasonal forecasts are mutually agreed and that Sainsbury’s Add stock numbers are linked to HSG’s internal forecast. Develop a robust plan for Summer Stock Build, post Summer De-Stock, and Christmas buy-in to ensure process, phasing and volumes are aligned.
·  Support Supply/Distribution/Finance with reconciliation of debit notes/price queries
3. Project Work (Under HSG and Sainsbury’s Direction)
·  Logistics Review – looking at route to market, ensuring optimal order days and lead times, depot profiles, supplier compliance and specific product area projects in order to reduce costs and maximise product life and on-shelf availability.
·  Provide support with range reviews, NPD and store location changes including working with relevant teams to provide full data for introduction/run-out of SKU’s.
·  Ensure new lines are set up in a timely manner – pallet multiples and supply group links in SCION, stores ranged in JDA, depot profiled in Lincs and hybrid in RDF
·  Review discontinued lines and identify surplus stock by SKU by channel
·  Understand and annotate action required to clear stock in a timely manner
4. Forecasting and Promotional Planning
·  Contribute to all S & OP and demand planning monthly reviews – completion of KPI/SKU analysis reports
·  Review store/depot level forecasts and flag any required amends to JS forecaster
·  Working to pre-determined timescales to analyse and provide uplifts to be agreed mutually Ensure clarity of process, volume and phasing.
·  Review lines on promo and check against add-stocks report highlighting missing SKU’s to controller
·  Review victim lines likely to be impacted by future promos and flag any required forecast amends to Forecaster
5. Stock Monitoring/Derogations
·  Monitor stock in 3PL’s to ensure that any stock at risk of life is requested to be sold through and flag to Customer Supply Chain team to ensure stock is not issued on orders (work with warehousing teams)
·  Raise derogation requests via Supplier Portal using E-forms and negotiate charges to reduce costs
·  Support stock control and supply chain teams to manage destruction and monitor annual impact
Key Success Criteria
Qualifications & Experience
1.  Experience of working in a similar role in a high volume supply chain role with food retailing or major FMCG operation would be advantageous
2.  Experience of working within a supply chain function is essential, preferably in the FMCG sector
3.  Experience of working within a supply chain function of a multiple grocer would be advantageous
Knowledge
1.  Understanding of the end-to-end supply chain process with the ability to assess what needs to be communicated/escalated to other Supply Chain Departments within the Function and within Sainsbury’s
2.  An understanding of store operations and requirements
3.  Proficient in Excel to Intermediate level

1.  Highly analytical, with the ability to absorb and interpret large amounts of data and provide sound recommendations based on their analysis
2.  Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to manage relationships at all levels within the business and Sainsbury’s
