You must have a Village vehicle license purchased and displayed on your vehicle by July 1.

The State of Illinois offers a number of different license plates that may be displayed on passenger vehicles, trucks and vans weighing 8,000 pounds or less, sport utility vehicles and motorcycles. The fees associated with the sticker required by a vehicle is not determined by whether the Secretary of State and Illinois law permit a certain plate to be displayed on a passenger vehicle, truck or van weighing 8,000 pounds or less, a sport utility vehicle or motorcycles. Rather, the fee to be paid for the required sticker is strictly determined by the type of vehicle for which you are applying and not the plate being displayed on the vehicle. All fees shall be in accordance with the above schedule.

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Examine the pre-printed information carefully.

2. Make changes or corrections as necessary, including information on a replacement vehicle in the shaded areas.

3. Return all copies for processing.

4. Please make all checks payable to VILLAGE OF RIVER GROVE.

5. To be processed by mail, return copy with check…must be postmarked by June 30th.

A Village of River Grove vehicle license is required for any vehicle purchased during the license year, said license if purchased within 30 days of the date vehicle purchased shall be available at the discount rate as shown in the above schedule.

All persons who become residents of the Village of River Grove must acquire a vehicle license for each vehicle garaged within the Village. Said license when purchased within 30 days of residency will be available at the reduced fees shown above.
