Performance Period: January 1, 2018 – December 31, 2018

MSC research proposals are due on October 13, 2017, 5pm EDT to . Proposals will be reviewed by MSC’s Scientific Review Committee and by DHS Office of University Programs. The selected project(s) for funding are expected to be announced mid-December, 2017. See the MSC Request for Proposals on the MSC website (www.stevens.edu/MSC-RFP) for additional submission details.

7.  Stage of Research

Early stage - Proof of concept, novel, or theoretical. Research is a disruptive technology and a game changer for the scientific community.

Applied - Research is an incremental advancement of the current technology that improves or increases its use.

Education - Research-based outcomes which lead to the development of maritime security or homeland security professionals for the current and future workforce.

Consultation - Providing subject matter expertise for a stakeholder.

Coordination/Integration - Providing coordination of stakeholders toward a deliverable

Pilot - Research products are being tested in the field with customer groups.

Validation/Verification - Project is undergoing scientific testing using customer requirements and technology performance parameters.
