1. Introduction
The Memoir of Graduate Schools of Engineering and System Informatics, Kobe University, publishes two categories of articles: peer-reviewed papers and researchtopics. This document is guideline for the preparation of a manuscript of research topics.
Articles of research topicsare to inform of research results obtained in the graduate schools of Kobe University from academic point of view. If the results have already been presented in a journal or a conference, the authors should show the name of the journal or the conference. Moreover, if the authors have been awarded a prize by the contribution, they should show the name of the prize.
2. Manuscript Preparation
Manuscripts must be written in English typed in one or twocolumns on numbered pages of A4 size. The number of pages should not exceed 4.
2.1 Font
Follow the font and size shown in Table 1.

2.2 Main text
Leave a blank lineabove and below each section heading.Excluding the first paragraph of the section, allparagraphs should begin with a first-line indentation of 5mm. All paragraphs should be fully justified. Spacing ofany lines should not be placed between paragraphs of thesame section. However, a spacing of one line is requiredbetween the last paragraph of a section and the heading ofthe following section.
2.3Tables and figures
Include figures and tables in the mostappropriate places within the main text. Do not place them onseparate pages. Each figure and table must have a caption. Citeas Figure 1, Figures 2 and 3, Table 1.

3. Publication
A submitted manuscriptis checked by an editor and then is published on the web.
