Textbook Info –
In Pre AP Algebra 1 we will be using College Board’s official Pre AP program called SpringBoard – Mathematics with Meaning – Algebra 1. The College Board developed SpringBoard as a clearly articulated, engaging, and rigorous framework for mathematics instruction that develops the skills and knowledge necessary to prepare students for college and to compete in the 21st century. Students need to be able to solve complex math problems using a variety of mathematical knowledge and skills, collaborate with others to complete a task, and communicate effectively using the language of mathematics. With SpringBoard, students explore the “big ideas” and develop the critical thinking skills needed to apply and communicate concepts in real-world situations.
