Important facts about your New Fuel Injector

1. The new fuel injector nozzle is shorter than the stock injector. It is like this for a reason to increase flow and fuel atomization.

2. Upon initial startup after installing your new fuel injector the engine will run extremely rich. This is because your new injector flows more fuel (if it isn’t a stock size replacement injector). The amount of fuel supplied to the engine needs to be reduced through the use of a fuel controller (i.e. Power Commander). Dyno tuning is highly recommended.

Fuel Injector Installation Instructions

1.  Remove front plastics, fuel tank, and plastic guards covering engine and battery.

2.  Unclip stock injector from wire harness, and remove the fuel line from the fuel rail.

3.  Remove the two screws that hold the fuel rail in place. (These screws are the two that are behind the injector on the top side of the throttle body with phillips head.)

4.  Remove the fuel rail from the throttle body. The fuel injector will likely pull out of the throttle body, as it usually is stuck into the rail. You can then pull the injector out of the fuel rail. There is a vacuum line connected to the black sensor bolted to the fuel rail. Make sure to not yank it off and break the plastic sensor. The fuel injector fits snug into the fuel rail, so it will take a little pressure to remove.

5.  (This Step is Optional) After you have the stock fuel injector removed, take the rubber washer off of the injector cone. This is the rubber piece that sits on the throttle body side of the injector. (Circled in Pictured to the right). Be careful as sometimes it will remain in the throttle body, instead of the injector.

6.  Install the rubber washer (the one removed in step #5) onto the new fuel injector, or you can used the one supplied with the injector as it is a tighter fit. Insert the injector back into the throttle body. Applying lube to the rubber washers on the throttle body and fuel rail O-rings will help ease installation.

7.  Slide the fuel rail over the top of the injector and line up the bolt holes. Using the stock bolts tighten the fuel rail back into place. (Be careful to not over tighten, they just need to be snug)

8.  Connect the supplied adapter onto the injector which then plugs into the ATV’s wire harness (or into where an aftermarket fuel controller connects to the injector wires, such as the Power Commander).

9.  You are now finished. Re-install the fuel tank and front fenders.
