Carlin Commercial Oil & Gas Live Fire Workshop

This new program is a full day program being held at the PPA Training Facility with the intention of offering classroom and hands on training for light commercial HVAC systems. This training is perfect for organizations who are currently servicing commercial equipment or organizations who are considering expanding their services.

Carlin Commercial Oil & Gas Live Fire Workshop will cover:

  • Installation selection & set up for light commercial oi l& gas burners
  • Overview of components
  • Fuel Systems oil and gas/ oil pumps and gas trains
  • Combustion air requirements
  • Venting and Commercial Boiler draft set up for breech and over fire
  • Understanding commercial burner operation
  • Overview of primary controls Oil and Gas
  • Low High Low set up and wiring
  • Combustion testing
  • Troubleshooting
  • Outdoor live fire or indoor simulated (weather permitting)
  • Hydro-level Controls
  • LWCO and water feeder controls for steam boilers
  • Installation, wiring, set up and troubleshooting

Our Instructors:Bruce Graham has spent decades in the Oil and HVAC industry, slinging boilers, running service day and night, handling the details that come with being a service supervisor and manager. While doing the same things that students in the classes are doing every day. Bruce has been with Carlin over 10 years, teaching, working in the field with technicians, and serves as a factory representative.

Alan Mercurio has over 27 years of industry experience in various roles including service technician, equipment sales, and service manager. Today he is an industry author, consultant, educator, trainer and proctor. He holds certificates as a Master Technician in the State of Pennsylvania, Silver certificate from the PPA, NORA Gold Certified and is EPA Certified by the VGI Training center, as a type I and type II Air Conditioning Technician. He’s the past president and founder of the Susquehanna Valley Chapter of OESP (Formerly NAOHSM), is on OESP’S Education committee and a sub-committee for NORA.
