Child Protection and Safeguarding
Please remember that concerns about your own or another child outside as well as inside school should be reported in the first instance to – Mr Kyle (Designated Teacher for Child Protection and Safeguarding) – or Mrs Kirby – (Deputy Designated Teacher). If you have immediate concerns outside school time (weekends, holidays, evenings) do not hesitate to call – Gateway on 94424377.
Safe Summer
On behalf of the Board of Governors, Staff and Pupils, I would like to wish everyone a safe, relaxing and enjoyable summer break. Thank you to everyone for your support, interest and encouragement this year and I would like to thank you for making me so welcome in Larne.
Autumn Term
School will re-open on Wednesday, 30th August for the first day back to school. This will be a half day with school finishing at 12 noon for all pupils. There will be no milk or school dinners so please ensure that your child has a snack for break. Thursday, 31st Augustwill be a normal school day. School dinners will be available from Thursday, 31stAugust and milk from Monday, 11th September.
School Attendance Matters – Absence Notes
An important part of caring for your child is knowing why they have been absent from school.
To help us do this and so that we can complete our records accurately, please
send a brief Absence Noteto the class teacher explaining the reason BEFORE
a planned absence or AFTER your child’s return following an unplanned absence.

Fresh Fruit / Milk / selection of bread available in the hall for those pupils taking school dinners. The above menu is available at £2.55 per day payable on MONDAY MORNING TO CHILD’S OWN TEACHER – please for the number of days required - CASH ONLY.
Year 7 Concert
The Year 7 concert for parents is on Tuesday 27th at 7.00pm. However, we are aware that a number of grandparents would like to see the concert and you are very welcome to come to the dress rehearsal on Monday 26th at 10.00am. We thank you for your support.
