Minutes of 1st CMP Meeting 2014-15, Cluster 3, held on 07.05.2014

The first and opening CMP meeting was conducted in KV Greater Noida under the Venue Principal Sh. R. M. Lakhera.

·  The meeting started with lighting of lamp by the worthy Principals and HMs of Cluster 3.

·  A welcome song was presented to welcome distinguished guests.

·  The host Principal welcomed the guests by his opening speech in which he said that:

a.  CMP Meetings are conducted with a specific aim i.e. how to make the functioning of system better.

b.  No system should be stagnant- changes should occur as per changed times.

c.  To improve upon the old and previous functioning with new creative ideas.

d.  To introduce new innovative ideas to make learning more effective.

e.  There should be more case studies of Slow Learners.

f.  New ideas of education system at global level should be studied and those element may be identified which are applicable to Indian conditions.

After the discussion on the agenda of the meeting, a few more valuable suggestions were put forth by the participants. They are as follows:

1.  Readiness Programme: Booklets prepared by some schools were presented to have a glimpse and discuss the basic concepts like:

a.  Strokes and number writing.

b.  Cultivating good and neat habits among children.

c.  Polishing the pre acquired knowledge of children.

d.  And many more aspects…..

2. Subject Committee Meetings:

·  Principal Sh. R. M. Lakhera said that stereotype subject committee meeting carries no meaning.

·  One topic in one meeting should be discussed in elaborate manner e.g. in language meeting- how to improve speaking competency- different activities to be conducted – like poem recitation, dramatization, group discussion – Inter group competition with local schools – Records of progress.

·  HM, KV Noida suggested for separate Sub-Committee Meeting for Classes, I-II & III-V.

·  Venue Principal further said that some educationists should be invited from time to time in those meeting.

·  There should be intensive study of specific problems related to teaching learning process.

·  In next meeting other area like slow learning shall be chosen.

3. Teaching through Music: To make the lesson joyful, a few activities should be done through Music.

4. Educational excursions, field visit/ trips to various institution should be organized.

5. Usages of e-ctlt: Sh. Mukesh Garg, Principal, KV AGCR, and Sh. M.L. Aggarwal, Principal, KV Vigyan Vihar, suggested that at least a beginning should be done by starting up loading a few content. No printouts are to be taken of the work done in e-ctlt.

6. Graded homework shall be given for summer holidays.

6. Venue Principal suggested that an Exchange Programme should be undertaken between cluster schools with due permission of DC KVS (RO) Delhi.

7. TLM should be used judiciously as and when required.

8. It was suggested by Sh. M.L. Aggarwal, Principal, KV Vigyan Vihar that at least 5 permanent TLMs should be brought in the next CMP Meeting from each school.

9. Reading habits should be developed in children by proper usages of class library/ school library.

10. Co-relation of lessons and activities is very important to have common activities and common usage of TLM.

11. Basic Maths needs to be taken care of.

12.Mrs. Poonam Sharma, HM, Mrs. Rachna Jain, HM, raised the question of monthly activities. Sh. M.L. Aggarwal, Principal, KV, Vigyan Vihar, suggested that only two activities per subject / per month should be conducted.

13. HMs raised the point that the inter school completion in academics besides games/ sports should be conducted and it was agreed upon by the house.

14. Motivation is very important to enhance the ability and capability of teachers.

15. The next CMP Meeting shall be conducted by KV AGCR in the month of August 2014.
