(Insert club name: e.g. Yarra Valley Tennis Club) is encouraging more kids to play tennis through Tennis Australia’sANZ Tennis Hot Shots Community Play program, which is now available at the club.
“ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Community Play is designed especially for kids of primary school age to provide an opportunity for them to play tennis in a fun supportive environment,” said (insert club reps name and club name e.g. John Smith ofYarra Valley Tennis Club).
“This exciting participation program is a branch of Tennis Australia’s official kid’s development program ANZ Tennis Hot Shots. The focus of ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Community Play is kids enjoying playing the game of tennis with friends and being a good sport.
“Coaches, parents, guardians and club volunteers can all get involved by assisting on-court with activities, scoring and reinforcing the “be a good sport” messages,” (insert club reps surname e.g. Smith added).
To help promote an immediate sense of fun and achievement, kids who participate in ANZ Tennis Hot Shots Community Play will use modified equipment scaled especially for them. This means smaller courts, racquets and low compression tennis balls.
Former world No.8 and Australian favourite,Alicia Molik, is a big supporter.
"Using the modified equipment makes it easier for beginners to start playing the game, and it is a great way to introduce kids to tennis,” said Molik.
“ANZ Tennis Hot Shots lets kids learn the sport quickly and easily, builds their confidence and it also gets them active.
“I wish ANZ Tennis Hot Shots was around when I was starting out, and I have no doubt it will help inspire our tennis stars of the future,” Molikadded.
