ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT TO THE PRACTICE MANAGEMENT TEAM

Salary Scale:£17,634 - £20,315- Dependent on experience and qualifications.

Hours:30 hours per weekto be worked between 8:30am - 6:30pmover 5 days, flexible.

Pension:Membership to the NHS Pension Scheme is automatic.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly capable, experienced and enthusiastic administration assistant wishing to work in a fast paced, innovative and rewarding environment. The post holder will be a vital part of a dynamic team supporting the Strategic Manager and Operations Manager.

You will be required to provide comprehensive,high level, professional and confidential secretarial and administrative support to the management team and the Practice which includes but is not limited to;

  • Action incoming correspondence on behalf of the Strategic Manager and be the first point of call for staff and outside agencies.
  • Call handling on behalf of the Strategic Manager.
  • Management of complex diary’s.
  • Developing/maintaining administration systems.
  • Management of practice meetings including minute taking.
  • Ensuring the management team is fully briefed and prepared for all activities.
  • Responsible for the smooth and efficient maintenance of administration functions and systems within the wider admin team.

This role will require you to respond to queries in a professional manner, whilst working closely with the Strategic Manager and Operations Manager. The successful candidate will be required to demonstrate initiative.

The post holder will enjoy working in a fast paced, stimulating environment, have a good sense of humour and be passionate about providing efficient and effective administrative support, acting as a liaison point between the Strategic Manager, the practice team and the wider NHS.

Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft software are essential.

The applicant will be part of a busy team and will need the ability to multi-task and manage short deadlines, therefore excellent time management skills, a flexible attitude and the ability to communicate with a variety of other professionals is vital.

Experience of working in the NHS would be desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.
