Free female fitness! Peterlee Leisure Centreto hostfun-filled Ladies Day

13 September 2013: In partnership with East Durham Belles, Peterlee Leisure Centre will be hosting a Ladies Day on Saturday 5th October. This free event is open to all local ladies over the age of 16 and new visitors will also receive a complimentary seven-day pass to use the centre’s facilities.

Taking place between 12pm and 4pm, the Ladies Day will include Netball, Zumba, Body Pump and Boot Camp sessions, all delivered by some of the best instructors in the northeast. There will also be taster sessions during the day for Spinning, Abs Blast, Boxercise, Hula-hooping, Slide and Glide and Aerobics.These taster sessions are particularly suitable for beginners and ladies who are new or returning to exercise.

East Durham Belles are committed to increasing participation in physical activity among all ladies living in East Durham, getting more people, more active, more often. The group meet at Peterlee leisure centre every Wednesday and Saturday mornings to take part in a wide variety of physical activities.

Steph Masterman,Manager of East Durham Belles, said: “This is a friendly, fun and very social group of ladies interested in their health. We offer all sorts of fun activities in a friendly non-threatening environment for women who may not feel comfortable participating in mixed sessions and want to work out with people at the same level as themselves.”
