Summer Recreation 2017
The Town of Newfane will once again sponsor a summer recreation program for children ages 6-13. The program will run from Monday, July 3toThursday, August 10 and it will take place at theNewfane Elementary School. Registration will be on Friday, June 16that the Newfane Community Center (located at the new town hall). There will be a short presentation beginning at 6:30 P.M. This is an opportunity to meet staff members and be informed of the rules, expectations, and the activities planned for the summer. Registration forms will be accepted immediately following the presentation. Please complete the registration form (on the back) and bring the form and registration fee to the registration night. The fee is as follows: 1 child = $40, 2 children in the same household = $75, 3 children in the same household = $115, and 4 or more children in the same household = $130. A tee-shirt is included with every paid child. Tee-Shirts will be ORDERED the night after the parent meeting.An adult must accompany anyone registering for the program.If you can not make the meeting, bring the completed form and money to the Elementary school on the first day of recreation. Those t-shirts will be ordered after the first week of recreation.
As previously mentioned, this year’s summer recreation program is being held at the Elementary school for children, ages 6-13. Many structured activities will take place throughout the day, and will run similar to previous years. Creative interactive lessons in math, science, nature, arts & crafts, and physical education will also take place. Snacks and lunch will be provided for a minimal charge daily. All parents or guardians picking up a child at recreation must display a photo ID. These names must correlate to the names listed on the child’s registration form. Please bring a copy of your child’s immunization records.We have been advised by the Niagara County Health Department not to let any children attend recreation without a copy of their records.
Weekly fieldtrips could possibly include Fantasy Island, Allie Brandt’s, Newfane Free Library, Rainbow Skate,Lasertron and an end of the year picnic at the school. More information including pricing will be available at the parent meeting. All children attending fieldtrips will be required to wear Newfane Recreation T-shirts. This will allow everyone in our group to be easily recognized. We will be wearing the same color t-shirts as last year, for your convenience.

Pool Information
Swimming will run every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday through the month of July. It will cost $1 per child, per day.
