2.  Design Requirements:

a)  Design system to meet chiller manufacturers published data pertaining to heat loss of compressors, condenser fan airflow, and ensure no “de-rating” of chiller performance.

b)  Design system to meet all environmental conditions such as temperature, wind, shrinkage, UV-rays, and moisture.

PART 2 – PRODUCT

2.1  MANUFACTURER

A.  BRD Noise and Vibration Control, Inc., PO Box 127, 112 Fairview Avenue, Wind Gap, PA, 18091, Phone: (610) 863-6300, Fax: (610) 863-4230, E-mail: , Website: www.HUSHCORE.net.

2.2  MATERIALS

A. HUSHCORE™ UNITARY™ “TM” Chiller Noise Reduction System:

1) HUSH GUARD™ Modular Metal Panels, Part Number HGU-700, Metal Acoustical Panels shall be pre-fabricated, sectional, all metal-clad, modular and designed for easy and accurate assembly and disassembly. The acoustical panels and components are designed to surround the condenser fans on air cooled chillers. The panels can be mounted directly onto the chiller top (equipment manufacturer approval required), with sheet metal floor channels for positioning 3 x 3 structural vertical angle braces along both sides of the chiller. The acoustical discharge plenum height shall be as required to meet acoustical performance in 2.3. Top Mounted UNITARY™ Systems cannot be wind load rated unless chiller manufacturer’s unit steel can be detailed.

2) HUSH GUARDÔ HGU-700 Metal Acoustical Panels shall be constructed with galvanized steel sheet metal and core insulation suitable for exposure to the elements. The panels shall be rated at STC-35 minimum. All structural angles shall be painted or galvanized. The panels and components shall not be susceptible to damage due to extended exposure to vibration, air temperature, UV rays or humidity with passage of time.
