Chapter 73 – Fall Meeting – Ft. McCoy, WI

1.  SITUATION:

A.  Friendly Forces: Members, family and friends of Chapter 73

1.  Expected weather – Sunny and warm during the day, dark and cooler at night (Check for local weather up-date for that weekend)

2.  Terrain & Site conditions – we secured the “South Pavilion” picnic site (same site as last year), in PINE VIEW CAMPGROUNDS next to Ft. McCoy. This is a large picnic area intersperse with shade trees, bushes & other vegetation, that is groomed & maintained by campground personnel.

3.  Supporting units/Facilities – There is a large parking lot; the picnic area includes an awning structure that covers the picnic tables & has electric outlets. There are outside grills, latrines and water at the South Pavilion site. There is a volleyball court, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, & “Squaw Lake” nearby (swimming, canoeing, etc.) & playground equipment on site.

B.  Pine View Campground - is NOT on Ft McCoy. There is a separate entrance west of the main gate that is marked - watch for the signs.

3. EXECUTION

A. Concept of the Operation: Move into & occupy Picnic site - Saturday, Sept 10, 2016,1:00PM conduct picnic ops & Chapter business meeting at 2 PM

B. Sub-Unit Missions:
1. Elements - ALL -
a. Bring a dish to passfor supper
b. Bring your own beverages, coolers, folding chairs, comfort items (blankets, towels, etc.)
2. Teams -
a. Horseshoe Tournament committee (Anderson/Jene) - Set-up & run Horseshoe

Tournament; all for fun – no experience needed
b. Food (Littmann/MacGillis/Anderson) - will procure/provide – BBQ pulled pork, hamburgers, brats, buns, condiments, charcoal, & other supplies
3. Individuals –
a. Fridl/Anderson- Supervise Site set-up & occupation
b. Pfeifer - to supply, paper plates, cups, plastic eating utensils, cooking utensils, paper

towels, containers, & required supplies
c. All - Help with cooking, setting up, clean-up after meals

C.  Coordinating Instructions:
1. YOU MUST HAVE A DRIVERS LIC OR MILITARY ID TO GET ON POST
2. You can get directions to the Camp grounds at the Main Gate
3. Occupation Plan & Times - Chapter Picnic Ops start at 1:00 – til???
4. Priority of Work - Set-up area & tables, for food & cooking
5. Business Meeting will start at 2 PM
6. Evacuation Plan - Police the area, pack up your gear, & move to your RON site at your convenience

2. Additional lodging is available on post at Anderson Hall on a space available basis.

3. Motels in the Area - There are motels in Tomah and Sparta near Hwy 21.

If you are planning on using a motel - you are responsible for your reservations.
4. Everyone attending is responsible for making their lodging arrangements!

6. Beam - 5 gal Igloo water cooler
7. Jene & Anderson - Organize & coordinate activities (Mens and Womens)

8. Littmann – supplies folding tables (2)

1. Bathrooms / Toilet facilities available on site

2. Littmann/MacGillis - Supply the burgers, brats, buns, condiments, plates, utensils, etc.

4. MacGillis / Designated Individuals - Set for meal & cooking Ops

5. All other meals – responsibility of individual families
