We cordially invite each council to come to Tianjin to join in the 6th “Peace Cup”Asian-PacificVeteran Table Tennis Invitation Tournament 2012 from September 20, 2012 to September 24, 2012. Hereby, we welcome each council to come to Tianjin to join in the contest as scheduled. And we feel honored and privileged!

Event schedules:

September 20: All players shall check in and attend the news conference organized by the Invitation Tournament Committee at Tianjin Binjiang Wanli Hotel,where a leaders' meeting will also be held after dinner.

September 21: In the morning, there will be an opening ceremony at the Xinhua RoadGym, Peace District, Tianjin, China.The Table tennis contest will begin after the opening ceremony.

September 22: Contest all day.

September23: Contest all day.In the afternoon,players free from contest can visit the scenic spots of Peace District,Tianjin and feast their eyes on the beautiful night scene of HaiheLake.

September24: The semi-final and final contest shall be carried out. Later,there will be an award ceremony feast.Last but not least,we will host a "Table Tennis Night" banquet at Tianjin Binjiang Wanli Hotel.

Contest Methods:

(Ⅰ) Team Contest

  1. Men’s Team Events andWomen’s Team Events shall be carried out by two stages, group round robin at first, and then elimination match. As for Men’s Team Events, three-out-of-five system is adopted, which shall be carried out according to the order of A-X, B-Y, C-Z, A-Y, andB-X. As for Women’s Team Events (2 to 4 players), three-out-of-five system is adopted, which shall be carried out according to the order of Single, Single, Double, Single, Single
  2. In the contest, 11-point and there-out-of-five system is adopted.

(Ⅱ) Single Contest

  1. Single contests shall be carried out by two stages, group round robin at first, and then elimination match.
  2. As for single contests, there-out-of-five system is adopted in both the first stage and the second stage.
  3. As for team events, if there are less than four teams participating in the contest for any one team, they shall be arranged to the younger team automatically.
  4. As for single contests, if there are less than eight participants in the contest for any one team, they shall be arranged to the younger team automatically.

Contest Rules:

1)Adopt the latest contest rules of International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF)

2)Please show your ID card or passport for the convenience of proving your age as required.

3)Each player is allowed to join in only one team event and single contest.

4)Older participants can join in team events of younger participants.

5)As for team events, each team shall dress uniform contest clothes.

Rewards:

1)Top four winning teams in team events shall be conferred medals and trophies.

2)Top fourwinners in single contests shall be conferred medals and trophies.
