· Personal Items – Toothbrush, shampoo, soap, deodorant, hair dryer, make-up, sunscreen, medication, etc.
· Luggage One large suitcase, one small carry on and limited number of items to be hung per delegate. This does not include items for speeches or illustrated presentations. Be sure presentation equipment and posters are packed snugly and well protected.
· Medication If taking any medication be sure to have an adequate supply in its original container. This includes OTC.
· Bedding and Towels Each delegate will need bed linens (beds in Drummond and Wentz are twin extra-long and beds in the Villages are full size), pillow, towels, etc. Bring a blanket or sleeping bag. The residence halls are air-conditioned and can get very cold at night.
· Iron If needed.
· Snacks - There are vending machines in the residence halls. It is much cheaper for delegates to bring their snacks.
· Spending money - as needed for snacks and extras. Wednesday and Friday lunch are not covered in the registration.
· County Picture - We will have a county picture taken______. Please stay together as a group.

Objectives of the Oklahoma 4H Roundup:
1. To provide opportunities for youth to participate in leadership training that will help them develop a stronger 4-H program in the community, county, and state.
2. To involve youth in learning experiences that will afford specific skills and information in areas of interest, as well as in leadership and citizenship.
3. To offer information about career opportunities and to stimulate interest in preparing for a career.
4. To provide inspiration for promoting 4-H.
5. To recognize the achievement of 4-H members and direct public attention to the Oklahoma 4-H program.
6. To offer opportunities for youth to make new friends, share experiences, and establish individual goals.

Self-Transportation - Teens are not allowed to drive during Roundup. Late nights and early mornings are not conducive to teens driving home from the event. Liability issues are a major concern and taken very seriously.
Code of Conduct Your best behavior and manners are expected. The delegation will be representing the 4-H members of ______County.
Delegate Safety
Keep your room locked at all times. Do not leave jewelry, money or other valuables lying around. There are other people on campus that could enter your room uninvited.
Outside residence halls doors will be locked each night. Do not leave the residence hall after designated hours.
When out on campus after dark be sure you are with a group. Do not walk to or from an activity alone. Theta Pond is off limits after dark.
There will be no leaving campus without the permission of the Extension Educators.
Expense for Damages or Losses
Any damages that occur, as a result of inappropriate behavior will be charged to each delegate individually.
If a key is lost, it will cost you at least $60. This is the cost for changing the entire lock. This is non-refundable, even if you find your key after Roundup is over.
If the meal ticket is lost, it will cost you at least $25. This $25 is non-refundable, even if you do find your meal ticket.
Do not remove furniture from dorm rooms. Make sure to leave your room as you found it.
Cell Phones
Cell phones are great for keeping in touch while on campus or for calling home in the evenings. Cell phones are not good during assemblies, workshops or county meetings. This includes text messaging, taking photos, etc. Cell phones not used properly will be taken away.
Name Tags
Nametags must be visibly worn at all times (hanging around your neck). They will be required for admission to all evening activities. Do not lose or destroy the nametag.
Attendance
All delegates and chaperones are expected to attend and be on time to all general assemblies and other scheduled activities. The county delegation will sit together by District at assemblies and meetings.
We will hold our county meeting DESIGNATE TIME AND PLACE. Everyone must attend and be on time.
As a courtesy to others when attending any activity, whether you are a competitor or a spectator, you will be expected to remain throughout the entire event. Please be polite by not talking or disturbing others during an activity.
What to Pack
Delegates should be dressed neatly, clean, and attractively at all times. Delegates will want to select comfortable, easy care clothing for their Roundup wardrobe. The residence hall does not have ironing boards or irons. There are no clothes hangers in the residence hall rooms.
Plan to bring comfortable, well brokenin shoes. Delegates will be doing a great deal of walking and participating in active recreation.
A jacket or umbrella may be necessary
ROUNDUP DRESS CODE
Roundup is a conference. At a conference you are expected to dress in a professional and semi-professional manner. Below are requirements for types of clothing that you will need for various Roundup events. The dress code will be monitored by a group of supervising adults. Persons not adhering to the dress code will be asked to change.
SHOES MUST BE WORN AT ALL ROUNDUP EVENTS INCLUDING THE DANCES. THIS IS FOR HEALTH REASONS.
Class A = Snappy Casual:
Guys: Includes jeans without holes, slacks, appropriate length shorts, shirts with a collar or a t-shirt without a slogan. Casual shoes, nice tennis shoes, or boots. No tank tops.
Girls: Includes jeans without holes, slacks, appropriate length skirts, dresses and shorts, coordinated separates, t-shirt without a slogan and blouses.
No strapless, spaghetti straps, tank tops, or miniskirts (skirts, dresses, and shorts may not be shorter than your fingertips when standing straight with your arms at your side). Clothing showing the midriff area is not appropriate.
Note: The fashion police will enforce a three finger rule on all shoulder straps, our fingers, not yours.
Events: Some competitive events, workshops and the keynote assembly.
Class B = Professional and Dress Wear:
(Do not wear blue or any color denim. This includes jeans, dresses, shirts, skirts, vests and jackets)
Guys: shirt with collar, slacks, and dress shoes or boots, TIE IS REQUIRED.
Girls: semi-formal, dresses or coordinated separates.
NO miniskirts (skirts and dresses may not be shorter than your fingertips when standing straight with your arms at your side), backless dresses, or formals. Low heels are advised.

Events: Thursday Evening Activities (Jackets and ties may be removed prior to the dance.). Professional and Dress wear is suggested for some competitive events including Job Readiness and Communications contests.
Class C = Casual Wear (Friday Only):
Appropriate length shorts, jeans, and Roundup or other 4-H t-shirts.
. Inappropriate and Not Acceptable Dress
· Western hats or caps are not to be worn in buildings or during programs, assemblies by anyone attending RU.
· Cutoffs, faded, ragged, or worn jeans/shorts and athletic tees are not appropriate and are not to be worn outside of the delegate’s room.
