Event Conditions:

Please note that area will only supply number inserts, therefore competitors must supply their own number bibs. Bridle

numbers are not allowed. Medical Arm bands are compulsory and must be completed and worn at all-times whilst

mounted. Hat and Body protectors as per BRC Rule Book 2016 and any interim published rules will apply through-out.

The show jumping and cross country course will be open for inspection at 2pm Saturday 30th September 2017. No unauthorized vehicles are allowed outside of designated carpark area at any time before or during the competition, this is for safety and to protect the ground at the venue.The organisers, the British Riding Clubs Area 20 liaison Committee, has overall responsibility for Health and Safety and has appointed a Health & Safety Advisor to ensure that all reasonable precautions have been put in place and that appropriate Health & Safety legislation is met.

Save for death or serious injury caused by the negligence of the organiser, Area 20 Liaison Committee or any one for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organiser or Area 20 Liaison Committee, nor any agent , employee or representative accept any liability for accidents, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever.

Medical and Veterinary services will be present on site and can be contacted via any official or via the event secretary. All those entering must ensure that they and their horses are fit and able to participate at the level they have entered. If in the opinion of the senior medical / veterinary officer or BRC Official Steward any rider or horse appears unfit to compete or continue to compete they will be eliminated from the competition on welfare grounds.

An official photographer will be present and any competitor not wishing to be photographed should inform the event secretary when declaring. Any such photographs maybe used by the organisers and British Riding Clubs for publicity and reporting of this event, this may include social media. The organisers are not responsible for any image taken by third parties present at the event.

In the event of cancellation or abandonment entry fee refunds will be at the discretion of the BRC Area 20 Liaison Committee. Every effort will be made to reschedule the event but this cannot be guaranteed.

Helpers & Stewards

As with every event we will require helpers and clubs should anticipate providing 3 helpers per Team or multiples of four riders. Depending on entries not all helpers will be required and clubs will be advised as to their commitment as soon as possible. Fence Judging is an all day job, we do not have the facility to brief during the day, judges will need to be briefed prior to the start and are expected to have access to a suitable vehicle. Other jobs can be shared but it is the responsibility of the Chef de quipe/Team manager to ensure their helpers know what times they are helping and who they are relieving.

All helpers must bring with them sufficient outdoor clothing and ensure they are equipped with sufficient food or refreshments for the day. As per the policy agreed by the Area Liaison committee.
