OBSERVATIONS:

Comments from the Committee:

§  Development has overbearing appearance – taking two detached houses to form one large property

§  Out of character with surrounding properties

§  Loss of garaging and restricted on site parking

§  Concerns over drainage issues

Cllr Abbey then suspended Standing Orders to hear comments from members of the public:

§  Length of the proposed joined properties would be approx 75ft.

§  Properties on Hawthorne Close (at the rear of the property)

would be overlooked as they are set at a lower level.

§  Loss of privacy/amenity due to narrowness of rear gardens.

§  Height of proposal is out of scale with the adjacent properties.

Cllr Abbey thanked the members of the public for their comments. The meeting then went back into Committee.
