2013-14PTA Lunch Ingredient List

Below is a list of ingredients provided to us by the vendors who prepare the lunches offered by the PTA. The PTA does not prepare any of the lunches and does notrepresent that the list below is accurate or comprehensive. We are passing this information on as a courtesy. You may contact the PTA lunch chairs for the name and phone number of the vendor should you have any questions about the ingredients or food preparation. For those with allergies or dietary restrictions, please exercise caution and be sure to contact the vendors directly to discuss your particular needs and/or concerns.

Pizza (Monday):

  • Pizza Dough: wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid, vegetable oil, olive oil, salt, black pepper, oregano.
  • Pizza Sauce: tomatoes, basil leaves, salt, citric acid.
  • Cheese

Pasta (Tuesday):

  • Store-bought Dried Pasta: semolina (wheat), durum flour, niacin, iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid. Made on equipment that processes products containing eggs.
  • Butter Sauce: cream, salt.
  • Marinara Sauce: peeled tomatoes, tomato puree, basic, salt, citric acid, onions, celery, carrots, sugar, black pepper.
  • Meatballs: beef, water, textured vegetable protein (soy flour, caramel color), breadcrumbs (enriched flour [wheat flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid], corn syrup, sugar, vegetable shortening [one or more of the following: hydrogenated soybean oil and/or cottonseed oil], yeast, salt, soy flour, whey, sodium stearoyl2 lactylate, calcium propionate, sesame seeds), sodium phosphate, potassium lactate, sodium diacetate, flavorings and ascorbic acid, seasoning (salt, sugar, dehydrated oinion, spices, garlic powder, parsley flakes, autolyzed yeast, vegetable oil), soy protein concentrate, eggs, seasoning (sodium phosphates, dextrose, salt, beef stock, spice extracts). Contains egg, milk, soy, wheat.

Obento (Wednesday)

  • California Roll: rice, sushi vinegar (distilled vinegar, salt, sugar, lemon), avocado, cucumber, imitation crab meat (threadfin bream meat, water, modified tapioca starch, egg, salt, sugar, soy protein, shortening [from palm oil], mirin, monosodium glutamate, crab flavor, natural color [carmine, paprika], disodium inosine-5’-monophosphate, disodium guanosine-5’-monophosphate), dried seaweed. Contains: fish, egg product, soy product, crustacean product.
  • Karaage (Fried Chicken)/Rice: carrot, edamame, rice,karaage (chicken thigh, sauce [soy sauce, ginger powder, garlic powder], corn starch, vegetable oil, soy bean oil).
  • Chicken Cutlet/Rice: carrot, edamame, rice, chicken cutlet (chicken breast, flour, salt, pepper, bread crumb, barbecue sauce [tomato, apple, lemon, onion, carrot, prune, salt, sugar, fructose, yeast extract, spice, starch]).
  • Chicken Roll/Yakisoba Noodle: carrot, edamame, chicken roll (rice, sushi vinegar [distilled vinegar, salt, sugar, lemon], chicken breast, soy sauce, ginger powder, garlic powder, corn starch, vegetable oil or soy bean oil), yakisoba noodle (noodle [wheat flour, corn oil, salt, potassium carbonate, sodium carbonate, disodium carbonate, FD&C yellow No.5 for color], sauce base (sugar, salt, monosodium glutamate, caramel color, dehydrated Worcestershire), sauce(tomato, salt, sugar, onion, garlic, carrot, celery, vinegar, spices, fumaric acid), malic acid, powdered garlic, rice oil, disodium inosinate, disodium guanylate. Contains wheat and soybeans.

Chicken (Thursday)

  • Chicken Tenders: chicken breast, egg, flour, seasoned bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, parsley, garlic, oregano, salt and pepper. Cooked in vegetable non trans fat oil, homemade on site.
  • Chicken ParmigianaWedge: club roll, red sauce (peeled fresh Italian pureed tomatoes, basil, olive oil), mozzarella cheese, chicken breast.
  • Chicken Nuggets: fully cooked homestyle breaded chicken breast with rib meat, water, textured vegetable protein product [soy protein concentrate, zinc oxide, niacin amide, ferrous sulfate, copper gluconate, vitamin A palmitate, calcium pantothenate, thiamine mononitrate (B1), pyridoxine hydrochloride (B6), riboflavin (B2) and cyanocobalamin (B12)], soy protein concentrate, seasoning (salt, hydrolyzed corn protein, autolyzed yeast extract, onion, spices, spice extractives, garlic), sodiumphosphates. BREADED WITH: Enriched wheat flour (enriched with niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), salt, spice, garlic powder, oleoresin paprika, natural flavors. BATTERED WITH: Water, enriched bleached wheat flour (enriched with niacin, ferrous sulfate, thiamine mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid), modified corn starch, salt, dextrose, spices, xanthan gum, garlic powder, oleoresin paprika-annatto. Breading set in vegetable oil. Contains soy, wheat.
  • Side Garden Salad: romaine, cucumber, tomato, dressing.

Breakfast for Lunch (Friday)

  • Butterworth Pancakes: enriched wheat flour (flour, niacin, reduced iron, thiamin mononitrate, riboflavin, folic acid) buttermilk, high fructose corn syrup, corn flour, whole eggs, water, soybean oil, soy flour. Contains 2% or less of: leavening (sodium aluminum phosphate, sodium bicarbonate), salt. Contains: eggs, milk, soy, wheat .
  • French Toast Sticks: bread (enriched wheat flour) wheat flour, malted barley flour, niacin (vitamin B3), iron, thiamin, mononitrate (vitamin B1), Riboflavin (vitamin B2), folic acid, water, yeast, sugar. Contains 2% or less of the following: wheat gluten, cultured wheat flour, vinegar, salt, soybean oil, yeast nutrients (calcium sulfate, monocalcium phosphate), ascorbic acid (vitamin C) turmeric (color) soy lecithin. Batter (water, reduced fat milk, whole eggs, sugar, soybean oil). Contains milk, eggs, soy, wheat.
  • Honeybrook Butter Cups: cream and salt.
  • Butterworth Syrup: high fructose corn syrup, corn syrup, water, salt, cellulose gum, molasses, potassium sorbate (preservative), sodium hexametaphosphate, citric acid, caramel color, natural and artificial flavors.
  • Turkey Bacon: cured with: water, potassium lactate, dextrose, salt, sodium phosphate, sugar, sodium diacetate, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite.
  • Cheerios: whole grain oats, corn starch, sugar, salt, tripotassium phosphate, wheat starch, vitamin E (mixed tocopherols) added to preserve freshness.   • Dole Mixed Fruit Cup: peaches, pineapple, apples, pears, white grape juice from concentrate (water, white grape juice concentrate), lemon juice from concentrate (water, lemon juice concentrate), natural flavors, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), and citric acid.
  • DannonVanilla Yogurt: cultured grade A reduced fat milk, sugar, natural vanilla, pectin.
  • DannonStrawberry Yogurt: cultured grade A low fat milk, strawberries, sugar, fructose syrup, fructose, high fructose corn syrup, contains less than 1% of modified corn startch, cornstarch, pectin, natural flavor, kosher gelatin, malic acid, carrot juice concentrate, carmine and turmeric (for color), disodium phosphate, tricalcium phosphate.gum, guar gum, sorbic acid (as a preservative), vitamin A palmitate, contains milk.
