Architectural Drafter (Direct) $55-65k Montana (Flathead County/Whitefish)

Responsibilities:

  1. Prepares and modifies architectural documents, elevations, sections, details etc. in HSBCAD, AutoCAD, Revit and Blue Beam.
  2. Develops solutions to technical and design issues following established standards for the product library.
  3. Manages and produces product – specific plans for customers as well as coordination with glue lam manufactures, structural and mechanical engineers.
  4. Implements a Drafting system, ensuring both compliance to high standards and a quality focused environment, including the design and management of basic policies, programs, standards and methodologies for the Drafting required to support customer and production requirements.
  5. Arranges for, coordinates and manages appropriate third party contractors support as needed. Will work with Project Managers, and Engineering as needed.
  6. Keeps up on technological changes relative to Drafting and maintains up to date records for all local, state, and federal mandates and inspections.
  7. Follows safety procedures, standard operating procedures and quality policies and regulations
  8. Reports to and works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Engineering Manager and Architectural Manager and Business Development to set and execute strategies for the vision and growth.
  9. Assist in the development and formulation of short and long range Drafting planning, policies, programs and objectives.
  10. Oversee the Drafting function and establish procedures for maintaining high standards to ensure that standards conform to established customer quality.
  11. Prepare cutting path files for large format CNC machine using hsbCAD software that meet the specific project needs.

Requirements:

  • BA/BS preferred. Required Minimum Associates Degree (A.A) in drafting, architecture, or equivalent from a two – year college
  • 10+ years’ experience in Revit and BIM modeling
  • 5 + years’ experience in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook required
  • 2.5 years’ experience in commercial/residential building with general construction knowledge and ability to interpret blueprints and specifications
  • 2.5 years of experience in Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchup and InDesign graphic software required
  • Minimum of 2 – 4 years of full time work experience in a production/commercial construction and design environment
  • 3D CAD/CAM experience preferred
