Institute Goals include encouragement of a network of
Oregon science teachers building a clear understanding of:

  • Scientific data and how it may be collected and presented,
  • Evidence needed to justify a score on the statewide scoring guides,
  • What counts as a scoreable activity or task, and
  • The importance of teacher mentoring including the roles of mentoring and being mentored.
