PRESS RELEASE
January film season
Box Office: 01432 340555
The Courtyard’s January film season is now on sale with a fantastic range of entertainment and plenty of Hollywood stars.
Back by popular demand, Suffragette (12A) (Mon 4 – Tue 9 Jan) and The Lady in the Van (12A) (Sat 16 – Thu 21 Jan) will return with extra screenings.
Michael Fassbender will star in both the new adaptation of Shakespeare’s Macbeth (15) (Sat 9 – Thu 14 Jan) and Steve Jobs (15) (Sun 24 – Thu 28 Jan), the enthralling story of a brilliant single-minded man at the epicentre of the digital revolution.
The Courtyard will also screen Carol (15) (Fri 8 – Thu 14 Jan), with Cate Blanchett, a story about a sophisticated older woman whose marriage is breaking down.
Later in the month, Tom Hanks will star as an American attorney in Bridge of Spies (12A) (Sat 16 – Wed 20 Jan), in an absorbing true-life tale that thrums suspense and shapes up expertly into a John Le Carte-style nail-biter.
The most eagerly awaited film of the year, Star Wars: The Force Awakens (12A tbc) (Fri 29 Jan – Thu 4 Feb) will also be screened.
There will also be special film screenings of The Big Knights (U) (Sat 9 Jan) and Ghosthunters (PG) (Sat 30 Jan) with workshops for families as part of Courtyard Family Saturdays – find out more on The Courtyard’s website.
