1.3 Submittals

  1. Comply with Section 013300 - Submittal Procedures.
  2. Product Data: Submit manufacturer's product data, including installation instructions.
  3. Warranty: Submit manufacturer’s limited warranty against defects in craftsmanship and materials.

1.4 Quality Assurance

  1. Manufacturer Qualifications: Company specializing in manufacturing products specified in this section with minimum five years documented experience.
  2. Installer Qualifications: Minimum two years documented experience in work of this Section.

1.5 Delivery, Storage and Handling

  1. Comply with manufacturer's recommendations for delivery, storage and handling.
  2. Deliver materials to site in manufacturer’s original, unopened packaging, with labels clearly identifying product name, manufacturer, and location of installation. Upon delivery, materials shall be inspected for damage. Deficient materials shall not be used.
  3. Storage: Store materials in a clean, dry area indoors in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions. Keep temporary protective coverings in place.
  4. Handling: Protect materials and finish from damage during handling and installation.

PART 3: EXECUTION

3.1 Examination

  1. Site Verification of Conditions: Verify installation conditions previously established under other sections are acceptable for product installation in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.
  2. If substrate preparation is the responsibility of another installer, notify Architect of unsatisfactory preparation before proceeding.

3.2 Installation

  1. Clean surfaces thoroughly prior to installation.
  2. Install signage in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions using mounting methods specified.
  3. Install signage level, plumb, at heights and locations indicated.
  4. Install product at heights to conform to Americans with Disabilities Act Accessibility Guidelines (ADAAG) and applicable local amendments and regulations.

3.3 Cleaning and Protection

A.Clean the installed product in accordance with manufacturer's instructions.

B.Remove construction debris from project site in accordance with provisions outlined in Division 1.
