The events at the Canadian Mountain Running Championships shall mirror as closely as possible the following:
Senior Men 12km (750m of ascent / descent)
Senior Women 8km (500m of ascent / descent)
Junior Men 8km (500m of ascent /descent )
Junior Women 4km (250m of ascent /descent)
[Note: multiple loops of a 4km course with 250m of ascent and 250m of descent is preferred, but not required]

Part 4–Canadian Prize Money and Athlete Invitations
The Host Organizing Committee will be responsible for providing a minimum of $2500 prize money for Canadians only, and only for those planning to attend international events. The prize money should be distributed as follows:
Senior Men 1st place: $500 / Senior Women 1st place: $500
Senior Men 2nd place: $375 / Senior Women 2nd place: $375
Senior Men 3rd place: $250 / Senior Women 3rd place: $250
If HOC is able to offer more prize money, please indicate the structure.

Part 5–Medical/Doping
The Host Organizing Committee shall be responsible for providing adequate medical care and facilities for the Championships. Such medical care shall be provided for all participating athletes, officials, media, volunteers, spectators and all others involved in the event.
