WESS Release Notes
Version 3.1.5 - Release Date on Tue, 6 Mar 2012
Enhancements
1. Added a "Preformatted Data Reports" button on the "Select Subsystem" page, which will be displayed on initial login. Clicking on this button will direct customers to the Jasper report module, which provides access to 100+ available reports to retrieve reported data. This provides the
same functionality as the Pre-formatted Reports link under the Data
Retrieval section in the Activities menu section in the Mishap/Hazard
module and the Pre-formatted Reports button on the Start Menu in MVRS and
WAMHRS modules. Customers with access to only DJRS will continue to access their reports through specific report links in that module (artf68359).
Requests for new report requirements may be submitted through the WESS
Help Desk or using the feedback form as identified in paragraph 2 above.
3750 - Aviation Specific changes
Enhancements
1. NAVSAFCEN staff now has the ability to modify the endorsing chain of any
aviation report currently in the endorsement process without having to edit the original report. This is an interim solution until a long-term
solution can be completed to allow Controlling Custodians to directly
input in endorsing chains. If there is a need to modify the endorsing
chain please e-mail or call (757) 444-3520
Ext 7245 or DSN 564-3520 Ext 7245 (artf25820).
5102 – Consolidated Specific Changes
Enhancements
1. Changed page titles on the on-duty diving screens in the mishap/hazard
module to utilize terminology more closely aligned with diving terms
used for the data being captured (artf65340).
2. Updated selections offered for the "Treatment Table Used" entry point on
the Dive Treatment Profile page. Selections now reflect currently used
Treatment Tables only. (artf65343).

vehicle events. The application will no longer bypass motor vehicle-
related questions for these type events (artf43229).

Supplied (ORCA) and DP2 are now available for selection (artf58661).

the Enter Dive Log page. In Water (Air) and In Water (02) were added to
the list of selections, and Standard Air was removed (artf31598).
Version 3.1.4 - Release Date on Mon, 19 Dec 2011
Bug Fixes
1. Added auto-correction to customer entry of 2400 to 0000 in Lost
Work Time to handle error created by issue of invalid time
entry in MVRS and WAMHRS (artf52757).
2. Modified lost work time entry validation on the Injury page in MVRS
and WAMHRS to ensure entry is a valid, 4 character entry (artf58332).
3750 - Aviation Specific Changes
Bug Fixes
1. Modified the SIR PDF so endorsement content will not display. The
SIR PDF will only contain originating factors and recommendations.
This only applies to events created after 16 Sept 2011. Events
created prior to that date will still have this defect. The data
cannot be corrected because it is unknown which of the entries
were the originating content (artf38010).
2. Corrected issue of endorsing chain members being skipped over in the endorsement process if a previous endorser double-clicked the
"Endorse Report" button to finalize their input (artf47286).
3. Corrected inability to add recommendations after endorsers have been
identified for the event (artf54214).
5102 - Consolidated Specific Changes
Enhancements
1. For Motor Vehicle Reporting System (MVRS) events, added pre-population of the "Did the injury/illness result in any of the following?" question on the Injury page based on the entry made for the "Injury Classification" question on the Involved Person page (artf37205).
2. Removed questions for sharps, heat/cold and chemicals from the
Injury page for MVRS events (artf37205).
3. Modified the WESS Consolidated PDF to include the fields listed below.
Their addition is to facilitate the ability to QA from the PDF content
(artf54743):
a. UIC/MCC/RUC of Point of Contact
b. FRTP phase at time of mishap for Unit
c. Job/skill/activity individual engaged in at time of mishap for
Involved Person
Bug Fixes

5. Corrected issue of the Release Report option not being accessible to the last member in the routing chain for MVRS events if the individual only has Shore access (artf52626).
6. Removed the ability to double-click the Accept button on a MVRS
Initial Notification submission, which resulted in event being
duplicated (artf53266).
7. Modified the number of characters that can be entered in the Brief
Narrative field on the General Information page in MVRS to 140 to
address the server error occurring if entry exceeded that number
(artf53747).
DJRS - Dive/Jump Reporting Specific Changes
Bug Fixes
Dive
1. Corrected the total number of dives for the chosen year and total number career dives on the “My Dive" tab. The count was previously incorrect by undercounting the total if the diver participated in more than one dive on the reported dive log or over counting the total if the diver was the supervisor (artf31587).
Jump
2. Corrected issue of having canceled jump operations being counted
as completed jumps. Previously both the Unit and the Jumper were
being credited for canceled and uncompleted Jumps (artf44300).
3. Corrected issue of the Jump History Report listing the number of
lifts as the number of jumps performed per each operation (artf53428).
