2015 Location will be Pullman Plaza in Huntington, WV Oct 15th and 16th
Menu for 2014 will be put on hold until the August meeting since speakers were not complete.
Confirmed speakers are Steve Burton for 10/23 9-noon with signed contract given to Rita Hope.
Rose Moore 10/24 for 1-4 ICD-10 no signed contract yet. Stephanie Southall is confirmed to speak from 1-2:15 on Thursday 10/23.
It was discussed the Medicare could not come so we need to come up with ideas to fill the speaker times. Committee members discussed whether the HIPPA the Steve Burt was going to do at Conference
would be a repeat of the Summer Education schedule in Aug for Bridgeport. We read his description from his contract and it will not be repeated material.
Some members recommended Fred Prior and it was discussed it cost a lot. Conference did not have to money but could possibly get a loan from the state or the state could pay for the education. Stacie will check on Topics and mail out a list for conference committee members to look at and narrow down.
The state will pay for Fred Prior. They will be Friday 10/24 9-12.
We also discussed have a law firm come in to talk about Record Retention. Rita will get the names of a law firm coming next week to do a chapter meeting and we will get in touch with them. They will be on Thursday 2:30-4:00.
It was decided that Health Care will be two words on all conference material as it is in our logo.
Conference registrations will be changed on the brochure to be sent to the Huntington Chapter PO Box due to low funds in the conference account. This will help us get the money into the account quicker to pay deposits. Registrations will then be sent on to Shelia.
