TEXT:Ground/Passage: Poetic mapping ofRussell Island presents a textural and visualpoetic mapping of the island that has becomeartist Sharon Jewell’s home over the pastdecade. The works have developed from anincreasingly intimate view of this world, whileat the same time they reflect a more pervasivereverence, expressed through the carefulselection and handling of materials, in bothsculptural and drawn form.

TEXT:The exhibition Medicinal Plant Cycles by Renata Buziak presents images of healingplants of Minjerribah/North StradbrokeIsland. The artwork is created by thebiochrome process based on fusion oforganic and photographic materials.Through this exhibition Buziak hopes toreveal a beauty in decomposition andraise notions of transformative cycles ofdecay and regeneration.
