STORYTELLING: ‘Jasper’s Beanstalk’

1- On Monday Jasper found a bean.

2- On Tuesday he planted it.

3- On Wednesday he watered it.

4- On Thursday he dug and raked and sprayed and hoed it.

5- On Friday night he picked up all the slugs and snails.

6- On Saturday he even mowed it.

7- On Sunday Jasper waited and waited and waited...

8- When Monday came around again he dug it up.

9- “That bean will never make a beanstalk”, said Jasper.

10- But a long, long, long time later...

11- “It did” (it was on Thursday, I think).

12- Now Jasper is looking for giants!

SONG: ‘Bean Bag Shake’

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag,

Shake, shake, shake it high.

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag,

Shake it away up in the sky.

Put your Bean Bag on your head.

Hold it there just like a hat.

Put it on your feet instead.

Give your Bean Bag one small pat.

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag,

Shake, shake, shake it high.

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag,

Shake it away up in the sky.

Put your Bean Bag on your toes.

On your knees don’t let it fall.

Now then put it on your nose.

Then strech up and feel so tall.

Hold your Bean Bag in your hand.

Drop it down upon the ground.

Skip it around it where it lands.

Dance and skip all around.

Skip around Bean Bag.

Skip around Bean Bag.

Skip, skip, don’t tell me why.

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag.

Shake it away up in the sky.

Hold your Bean Bag out in front.

Swing it round and round and round.

Now let’s hold it tight and jump.

Jump, jump, jump up and down.

Shake your Bean Bag, shake your Bean Bag.
