EXPERIENCE AND EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

January 2012 to Date - Resident Advisor (Lab Track) Tanzania FELTP

I am currently working as a Resident Advisor for Tanzania Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program. I

·  Provide support in the implementation of basic and intermediating course

·  Serve as focal point and liaison between AFENET, CDC-Tanzania, CDC-Atlanta, MOHSW, and MUHAS on conceptualizing and implementing the Tanzania Field Epidemiology and Laboratory Training Program (FELTP).

·  Providing assistance to MOHSW regarding project activities and training programs to continue the institutionalization process within the Ministry.

·  Provide expert technical assistance to facilitate the implementation of the Tanzania FELTP.

·  Serve as focal point and liaison between key laboratory systems stakeholders to implement the laboratory component of FELTP

·  Through human capacity development, strengthen laboratory support to Ministry of Health and Social Welfare (MOHSW) for surveillance of infectious, zoonotic, and chronic diseases and detection of outbreaks.

·  Assist MOHSW with planning and implementation for laboratory system strengthening activities including through field epidemiologic investigations.

·  Prepare technical manuscripts and periodic reports on projects and training efforts for program marketing both within the country and internationally

·  Develop curriculum and conduct courses in epidemiology, surveillance, outbreak

·  Investigation, biostatistics, among others, along with university faculty, MOHSW staffs, and other guest lecturers.

·  Collaboratively develop and implement an integrated laboratory – epidemiology training plan.
